I only have a few policies, but I stand by them. Here they are:
MY STANDARD COnTRACT WILL BE USED WITH ALL CLIENTS. NO EXCEPTIONS.
In essence: A contract protects both me and you. Standard provisions within; nothing crazy: All balances need to be paid in full prior to your shoot date. Photos I take are copyrighted material. Limit of liability is fees paid (no court costs). Also included is a standard model release, which lets use your photos on my website and for advertising purposes.
"CAN I SEE THE PHOTOS?" Absolutely -- during the shoot.
In essence: Yes, but this is at my discretion. It can break up the flow of the shoot to show every single photograph, so I kindly ask models to "trust me" -- when there is something great to show, you'll be the first to see it. Generally, before you leave, I allow some time for us to review the day's best captures. This helps to serve as a 'preview' of sorts, since my main policy is to allow 3 weeks' time to edit photos below delivering final images.
ESCORTS ARE ALLOWED AND WELCOME at your photoshoot, but they must not distract and/or influence the shoot in any way.
In essence: Make no mistake about it -- escorts are 100% great, and I very much welcome them.
However, poorly-chosen escorts and guests can sometimes zap the energy straight from a shoot, which makes it difficult/impossible to do my job. I do not put myself in the position of having to reclaim control of a shoot, so it is important to know that anyone who is distracting or influencing the shoot in a negative way will either be asked to leave, or the shoot will be ended early (and no money refunded). These terms may sound harsh, but I ask you to read my reviews, and research me. I trust you will find the people who have worked with me have been very pleased during and after their shoots.
MY watermark logo will be on all photos delivered for online use.
In essence: Please respect my watermark. It is used on all photos posted online for branding purposes, and to prevent others from stealing my copyrighted work. You will definitely receive a non-watermarked version, but it is only to be used for Print versions of images.
“Robert is a great photographer and wonderful person. His work is excellent. He is on time, great to work with and prompt. I have worked with him on several projects and I have zero complaints. I would recommend him for any type of project and he can handle your photography needs.”
MY turnaround time for digital images is 3 weeks from shoot date.
In essence: Following a session, it takes me time to upload, review and edit the photos. To get high-end results, some photos are worked on for weeks. As such, I guarantee a turnaround time of three weeks, or 21 days, following all shoots. If you would like an expedited rush delivery, please know that this is possible with a "Rush fee" of $100 dollars.
MY turnaround time for prints is 7-10 days following delivery of digital images.
In essence: I can only print images that are finished and complete, so it makes sense to reason that prints will be delivered within 7-10 business days following the digital files.
I CAN edit and "retouch to client taste," but I prefer not to.
In essence: It is my preference and prerogative to respectfully request that clients trust my artistic vision, with edits.
At the end of the day, paying clients do have the final say-so on all finished photos, but if additional edits are required, this must be paid for. Rates for additional edits and revisions are $75/photo, and will add another 7-10 days onto the turnaround time for a given photo.
I reserve the right to decline to make additional edits to a particular photo (this right is rarely exercised, but I do reserve the right).
