About
1-on-1 lighting instruction available for photographers
Many photographers struggle with lighting, and because of this, become "natural light only" photographers.
This is very limiting -- although natural light is the best light, most times during the day are NOT ideal for shooting. High noon, for instance, is the worst time to shoot, as the sun high in the sky causes all sorts of shadowing, and overall very harsh light. But it's likely that your clients will be available in the middle of the day.
What about when it's extremely cloudy? Some photographers like overcast conditions because then they don't have to worry about a has light. ...But what if a client is paying you to achieve a warm, sun-drenched, golden hour look? Do you know what to do, and how to get those results, or do you simply reschedule for another day? Or can you reschedule? (maybe you will lose the client).
For reasons like these, it's worth learning how to achieve your desired results no matter what, through lighting.
By learning Flash/Strobe Lighting, Continuous Lighting and Natural Light, you will be prepared for any scenario the world could throw at you, and you'll become a more creative and in-control photographer as a result.
In my 2 hour classes, I teach:
Flash/Strobe Light (How to use Speedlight flashes and/or Strobes to add light to a scene. We cover the exposure triangle and how settings are affected when you add lights, and with over time, in small chunks, advanced educational items like lighting modifiers, softboxes, grids, etc.)
Continuous Light (How to work with lights that don't flash but instead stay continuous, light video lights. We cover the exposure triangle and how settings are affected when you add lights, etc.)
Natural Light (How to use the sun to maximum benefit, no matter the time of day. We cover how to "match" flash/continuous light to the sun's conditions, ratios, angles, and color temperature).
How to work 1-on-1 with a Model (You need to understand light, and the best way to do that is to see exactly how light falls onto a human subject's face and body, in real-time)
and much more.
Classes start at $275. You get:
